a thousand confusions rain down on my mind
as we turn to the west and we look for a sign
but there nothing is changing as governments roll
on the crest of a wave of distrust of the soul

I have cash in my hand and a phrase on the wall

but my minds haunted visions turn into a scrawl

Ive got nothing to give you save all of these songs
but they arent much good for building up a home
